My photographic look back on 2014 and my favourite images I made during the year
A little bit of exploration of Lindisfarne away from village and harbour and found Snook Tower.
An early Christmas present arrived for night sky watchers in Northern Britain in the early hours of Christmas Eve as the Northern Lights appeared.
A 7 minute long exposure from Windermere in the Lake District.
Third and last collection of images from the cloud inversion that settled over parts of Northumberland on November 16th 2014 - this time over looking Edlingham Castle.
Some more images taken from above Hepburn Woods near Chillingham during a cloud inversion across the valley.
A remarkable cloud inversion filled the valley over Chillingham and the surrounds as far as you could see. Here are a few sample images.
...to be continued!
My single image that was shortlisted for this years Landscape Photographer of the Year, unfortunately it got no further.
This morning I met up with a holidaying Ian Burton to shoot Rumbling Kern on the Northumberland coast near Howick, however we shot much more of the Bathing House!
This evening I thought I'd take it into the old small quarry that is yards from my house to see how it handles some low light handheld snaps of gorsebushes, bracken, exposed rock and rusting metal (from its time as the local tip).
Here are a few shots from this evenings walk...
